Weekly Update

What a fabulous first week we had in PreK 3!   We have been working on learning our rules and routines of the classroom and the children are doing a super job!

We have been working on using scissors and glue in class - two important skills we will use a lot of in preschool!  When we glue, we only use a little squeeze and say, "dot, dot, not a lot"!  When using scissors, please have your child practice cutting with their "thumb on the top and the fingers on the bottom".

Another skill we will be working on will be learning to write our names!  When practicing with your child, please make sure they only capitalize the beginning letter and the rest of the name is in lower case.  Ex.  Cindy, not CINDY       Thanks!

THIS WEEK:

The children will have computer lab for the first time!  Each child will have his/her own MacBook with headphones and we will play a game with letters!  You will be amazed at the progress your child will make through the year with computers!  By May, they will be ready to zip around Facebook!  Just kidding! :-) 

Monday night is the schools first soccer and volleyball games.....GO VIKINGS!
