Dottie Kissell Grade 6

Hello!  My name is Dottie Kissell and I am in my seventh year teaching sixth grade at Sacred Heart. I grew up and attended Catholic schools in southern Ohio.  After meeting my husband in Cincinnati, we moved to South Bend and I stayed home to raise our growing family.  Twenty years ago we moved to Culver.  I taught in a small parochial school in Monterey before coming to Sacred Heart. I have been very happy here and love what I do.  I am particularly excited about teaching the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Reading and Language Arts this year. It is a challenge, but I love working with the different ages and sharing my love of literature with them.   I also enjoy helping out with the Track Team.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing cards, and improving my golf game with my husband, Herb. We enjoy spending time with our children and their families, and are eagerly awaiting the birth of our eighth grandchild in November.
