Lee McGuire Grade 5

My name is Lee McGuire and I am the 5^th grade teacher at Sacred Heart School. I was first employed by Sacred Heart to teach 6^th grade in 1998.

         My teaching career began in South Bend, IN, where I worked as a full time substitute teacher immediately following graduation from I.U.S.B. I then moved to Atlanta, GA where I taught 5^th grade in a public school and 3^rd grade in another parochial (Catholic) school.

         Upon arriving in Warsaw, I worked for a brief time as a substitute teacher until I accepted a position as a pre-school teacher for the Head Start program. That was quite an adventure because up to that point I had not had any experience with that age group. I learned a lot "on the job," and by completing courses in early childhood education. I enjoyed working for the Head Start program but felt ready for a new challenge when I heard about the opening for a 6^th grade teacher at Sacred Heart in 1998.

         When my children entered 1^st grade I became a substitute teacher for WCS until receiving the call that I was hired to teach 5^th grade at Sacred Heart.

         I am proud to be a part of this wonderful school and staff and will do my best to work with each student I come into contact with.
