Religion:

On Monday we will look at the Today's Catholic newspaper. For homework the students will read about Mother Theresa and write a paragraph expressing their opinion of the article using facts from the article. On Friday, we will read the first part of Genesis on God creating the world and discuss the Trinity.

Science:

The students have set up their plant experiments. On Tuesday, they will begin to write a lab on the computer using the science process skills. The students will continue to make observations until 9/8. On 9/9, they will have a test on the process skills. (Sorry, I gave the wrong date last week - the test is on Thursday, not Wednesday.) The test will describe a lab situation, then ask what process skill is being used. Students may study by reading the examples in the book. The process skills will be written on the test. On Wednesday and Thursday, the students will complete worksheets that will help identify process skills.

Paragraph of Today's Catholic article due on Friday.
