Lee McGuire
Grade 5

Dear Parents,

Hello to all of you. My name is Lee McGuire and I'm looking forward to being your child's teacher this year.

Your 5th Grade child will spend most of the day with me.  Each day they will be taught concepts in Social Studies, Spelling, and Math.  Language Arts, Science, and Religion will be taught by Mrs. Kissell and Mrs. Rose Smith respectively.

Our Christian Catholic faith is encompassed in all that we do and provides a guide for us as we practice traits such as kindness, tolerance, self-control, and patience.  I am proud to be part of this wonderful school and staff.  I will do my best to work with your child and help them in any way i can.  You may call me at home; early evening is best, with any questions.

Teacher Bio:

My name is Lee McGuire and I am the 5th grade teacher at Sacred Heart School.

My teaching career began in South Bend, IN, where I worked as a full time substitute teacher immediately following graduation from I.U.S.B. I then moved to Atlanta, Ga where I taught 5th grade in a public school and 3rd grade in a parochial (Catholic) school.

Upon arriving in Warsaw, I worked for a brief time as a substitute teacher until I accepted a position as a preschool teacher for the Head Start program.

I enjoyed working for the Head Start program but felt ready for a new challenge when I accepted a job at Sacred Heart School in 1998 to teach 6th grade.

When my children entered 1st grade I became a substitute teacher for WCS and was employed there until receiving the call that I was hired to teach 5th grade at Sacred Heart School.

I am happy to be a part of the excellent staff here at Sacred Heart School, and look forward to another year of growth for the students and myself.

Welcome back everyone!! Please make sure to bring you own pencil sharpener and have the pencils ready to go. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. Make sure to get a good night's sleep and if you want to bring a snack, that is fine but it needs to be small and nutritious.

Please label your school materials.
