KPrep -- ELL Director

               Welcome to Kprep

We are getting very excited to start working with our little students and taking them to places where they will discover the love of learning.

K-Prep is a program providing a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.  We, the teachers, will help your child learn and develop through both group play and adult interaction.

We estimulate and engage children's thinking as we integrate STREAM experiences thoughout our classroom.  These engaging, developmentally appopriate activities maimize our studentes learning in sience, technology, religion, engineering, the arts and mathematics.  Each lesson incorporates materials and situations that are interesting and meaningful to our students.

We respect and value the differences in each child as to her or his interests, developmental needs and personality. We appreciate and value different family, cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Through play in a well-arranged and regularly enriched environment, our students learn about themselves and their capabilities and develop their cognitive, social and emotional capacities.  We created a challenging environment in which information is available through a variety of materials

Looking forward to meeting our new students this coming year and provide a childhood experience filled with adventure, play, investigation and friendship.

Teacher Bio:

My Name is Lili Polk and I teach "Kindergarten Prep" at Sacred Heart School. I am a graduate of Indiana University with Early Childhood & Preschool Certification. I am a certified Catechist of the Good Shepherd and had the honor of receiving the Light of Learning award in 2009-2010 school year. I have taught preschool for 3 and 4 years old for the last 28 years as well as coaching volleyball for the school in years past. I am fluent in Spanish, and enjoy working with children of different cultures.

My husband Tim and I have two grown children, Christopher and Jeremiah. Today both of them are married, and have children of their own. We have 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Both of my children attended Sacred Heart school and now our grandchildren are attending Sacred Heart School.

It is wonderful to have the opportunity to work in a place where I can see my grandchildren daily. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tim, my friends and my family, as well as playing on the lake, shopping, traveling, watching movies and playing on my computer.
